What we do
Touch-ups & handyman in Metro Detroit.
Drywall patches, paint, door fixes, popcorn ceilings, accent walls. The punch-list items done right, on schedule.
Small jobs, done right
The list the last guy left behind.
Touch-up and handyman work is the collection of small finish repairs that keep a home looking tight: drywall patches, paint touch-ups, doors that stick or won't latch, missing trim, loose hardware, popcorn ceiling removal, and accent walls. Individually none of these is a remodel. Together they are the difference between a house that feels cared for and one that feels tired. In Metro Detroit, these are usually the items a bigger contractor never came back to finish, or the punch list a previous crew skipped on the way out the door.
Apex Construxive treats this work as real work, not a favor squeezed between big jobs. Most contractors won't return the call for a single door or a patch, so those items sit for months. We schedule them, show up, and knock the whole list in as few trips as we can. Because the same owner-led crew also does the flooring, tile, and finish carpentry on full projects, the patch gets feathered so it disappears under primer and the door gets hung so it actually closes. Luis answers the phone, the work gets done on schedule, and you get the details finished without the runaround, anywhere across the Detroit metro.

What we knock out
Drywall patches, paint touch-ups, door realignments, popcorn ceiling removal, accent walls. The punch-list items the last guy left behind. We feather patches so they vanish under primer, adjust doors so they latch, and mask the room so the dust stays contained. Small jobs done right, on schedule, without the runaround.

Handyman questions
Touch-ups & handyman work, answered.
What counts as touch-up and handyman work?
Touch-up and handyman work covers the small finish repairs that keep a home tight: drywall patches, paint touch-ups, doors that stick or won't latch, missing trim, loose hardware, popcorn ceiling removal, and accent walls. These are the punch-list items that are too small for a full remodel but still need to be done right.
Do you take on small jobs, or only big remodels?
We take small jobs. A lot of contractors won't return the call for a single door or a patch, so those items sit for months. We treat punch-list work as real work, scheduled and finished, because a home is only as good as the details the last crew skipped.
Can you finish a punch list another contractor left behind?
Yes. We regularly close out the leftover items from a job that stalled or from a crew that never came back: the unpainted patch, the misaligned door, the missing shoe moulding. We knock the whole list in as few trips as possible instead of dragging it out.
Do you remove popcorn ceilings?
Yes. We scrape popcorn ceilings, skim them smooth, and repaint, with the room masked off so the dust stays contained. It is one of the fastest ways to make a dated Metro Detroit home feel current without a full renovation.
